Not a Patient

I am a nurse who became sick of sick.

After 10 years in the hospital system I realized something…no body was getting better.

Forget equal access, even the people who had the best access were still coming in month after month with the same chronic illnesses. The system IS broken, but it has less to do with insurance than people want to admit.

It is about personal responsibility and prevention.

So that is where I am choosing make my stand. This blog will cover all things that will help you be well and stay well. We may cover some on illness too but only in so much as it is a deviation from health and as a means to focus on optimizing your health again.

Don’t get me wrong, I think that there is a very real place for medicine per se. I just don’t think it is what we have made it. If I break a leg or have tried extensive methods to augment my health and am still struggling then, by all means, take me to the hospital. But if your body is suffering from simple wear and tear (and more “diseases” fall into this category than you might think) then get informed, rustle up some self control and change your life. That’s the only real way to change your health.

It is a simple concept if you give your body what it needs, it does better than if you don’t.
